Poetry in Persian culture is so pervasive and enduring it has preserved ancient details and even medical knowledge from Persian Polymath Avicenna.

I find it very interesting to look at every countries different style of music. The type of music in Iran is very intriguing. The man playing the instrument and the women speaking. Its a very different style compared to the type of music in the United States.

This is actually poetry rather than music, however.

This is beautiful, I really wished I knew what she was saying in her poem as the music is playing. Do you know where that was and if they normmally perform their poetry in public for big events or if that was a rare occasion? It is very interesting to see another cultures' form of creativity.

This was a Persian Art conference in London. Poetry is an incredibly huge part of Iranian/Persian culture and tradition. I havent found out what the poem translates as but I'm working on trying to figure it out... Regardless it is beautiful.

These really are great selections. If you have not found the words to the poem and are still interested send me an email, I have a number of friends from Iran who could translate.
